Brandy Cauthen is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with prescribing privileges in Tennessee. Brandy obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and treats a wide range of mental health disorders in adolescents and adults.

Brandy obtained her associates of science degree in nursing from Columbia State Community College. After this, she began working as a registered nurse on a medical-surgical unit and psychiatric unit, treating patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs.

Brandy then returned to school at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing before getting her doctorate. During her doctoral program, Brandy completed her clinical rotations here at Athena Care. In practice, Brandy is passionate about providing mental health care with an integrative, empathetic approach.

In her free time, Brandy enjoys watching sports and spending time with her two Aussiedoodles!
